Best Ways to Exercise
70I am no health or fitness expert, but I know the basics of being in shape and staying fit. It's all about taking in less calories than we burn to lose weight and taking in the same calories as we burn to maintain the weight. For this you have to eat the right amounts of food and also exercise. Although you don't have to exercise to lose weight if you don't eat more than you need, it is still essential for good health. Many people don't like to work out though, so one way to make it easier is to find ways to exercise that make it more bearable.
For starters you should decide whether to exercise in a gym or at home. In a gym you can pick from a variety of activities such as free weights, cardio machines, exercise classes like aerobics or yoga, etc... it's easy to pick something and go to it. I, myself, prefer to work out at home though; it's more sanitary and I can personalize my workout to what works for me.
As for the best ways to exercise, here are some that have worked for me. One of the most effective and easiest exercises we can do is to walk. Go on a fast paced 30, 45 or 60 minute walk on most days of the week and it will help keep your heart healthy and burn some calories along the way. You can modify your walks by adding speed, inclines and or weights to them to get a different workout each day. Swimming is also a great exercise, of course it can only be done when it's warm outside, or if you have an indoor pool. But whenever it is available it is an excellent pick.
As you probably know it is also important to do some type of strength training. This can be done in many ways. You can get some free weights and set aside about a half hour or so 3 times a week and do a variety of exercises. Check on the internet for different moves you can do according to your preferences. Another great weight bearing exercise is yoga. The best way to do yoga is to get a DVD, there are countless ones for every type of yoga. Search on Amazon for one that suits you and your goals.
One more easy way to get some strength exercises done is by doing different moves throughout the day at different times, like you can do 20 lunges while preparing lunch, do a few pushups and some tricep dips while watching TV, squats while on the phone etc... This is a good way to build your muscles without taking a chunk of time specifically to exercise. If you implement them into your daily activities, not only will you save time, but it will make the exercise that much more seamless and less daunting.
Follow these simple steps and be consistent; you should start to notice a difference within a couple of weeks. Remember to eat well and keep track of the calories you consume. Also, be persistent with the exercise, it is important for good health as well as to burn more calories.
I hope this helped to answer the question on what are the best exercises to do to lose weight.

Nice hub. I don't know why people (especially if they're not the gym type) walk more often. I get the dog out everyday (ok, I've been slacking in this 0 degree weather in the Northeastern part of the States), But, I try.
